Vytegorsky district
Trade in St. Petersburg
The district occupied the southeastern part of the province. The area was 11606 km². Vytegra was the district town. The district was formed by Catherine II. The main bargaining of citizens consisted in the sale of flax, flour, oats, often tar and tar and freshly salted fish, sending it to St. Petersburg on seagoing ships. In the town, five merchants traded in severe goods and food supplies.
