The web-quest "A mysterious journey from England to the Olonets province " was developed by the 4th year students of the Department of Theory and Methods of Primary Education of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Petrozavodsk State University Badiya Angelina and Dorofeeva Anastasia under the guidance of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Irina Vasilievna Komarova.

The web-quest is based on Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, which considers intelligence in various specific (primarily sensory) conditions, and not as the dominance of one general ability to do something.

Objectives of the web-quest : to provide pupils in grades 2-5 with an interesting way to get acquainted with the past of Karelia, to find out what the Olonets province is.
Also, students will have the opportunity to increase the level of ICT competence, develop critical and creative thinking.

This web-quest is recommended to be carried out as part of extracurricular activities in order to acquaint pupils with the past of Karelia. The time for completing the web-quest is set at the discretion of the teacher.
